Aimora is built to be calm, and that includes how it treats your information. This policy explains what the app handles, where it goes, and the choices you have. We've tried to keep it plain.
01Who we are
Aimora (“Aimora”, “we”, “us”) is an app for iPhone and Apple Watch developed by Alexander Matveev, an independent developer. You can reach us at hello@aimora.day. For the purposes of data protection law, we are the controller of the information described below.
02What Aimora handles
Aimora does not ask you to create an account. To work, the app handles:
- Goal information you enter: the goal in your own words, your daily time, level and optional deadline, and your coach preferences.
- Progress information the app creates as you use it: the steps you were given, whether each was done or skipped, your streak and stars, the energy level you chose, how a step felt, the reason you gave when a step was too much, and short optional check-in notes.
- Settings: reminder times and days, quiet hours, tone and similar preferences.
- Purchase status: subscriptions are processed by Apple. We never see your payment card or Apple Account details; the app learns from Apple on your device whether you have an active subscription.
03Where your data lives
Your goals and progress are stored on your device. If iCloud is enabled for Aimora, they are also synchronised through your private iCloud database (CloudKit) so they appear on your other devices. That data is held by Apple under your Apple Account; it is not accessible to us. Widgets, the Lock Screen and Apple Watch read the same data on your devices.
04How AI steps are written
To write each step, the app sends a request to our server (hosted on Cloudflare). The request contains what the model needs to write a good step: your goal and settings (daily time, level, deadline, coach preferences), your recent steps and whether they were completed, the energy level or difficulty reason you chose, any short check-in note you added, and your language. It does not contain your name, e-mail address, Apple Account, contacts, photos or location.
Our server turns that request into a prompt and sends it to a third-party AI model provider (currently OpenAI) through the provider's API, then returns the resulting step to your device. We choose providers whose API terms state that content submitted through the API is not used to train their models, and we review those terms from time to time. Please do not put sensitive personal information, such as health records, identification numbers or passwords, in your goals or notes.
To protect the service from abuse, the app uses Apple's App Attest, which lets our server confirm that a request comes from a genuine copy of Aimora. It uses a random key identifier created by Apple for the app, not an identifier tied to who you are.
Our server processes requests in order to answer them. Technical logs, such as time, size and error status of a request, may be kept for a limited period to keep the service running and to prevent abuse. We aim to keep the text of your goals out of those logs, and we have no way to look you up by name.
05What we don't do
- We don't show ads and we don't sell your personal information.
- The app contains no third-party advertising or analytics SDKs, and it does not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
- We don't read your private iCloud data.
06Notifications, Face ID and Touch ID
Reminders are scheduled locally on your device; there is no push server. If you lock the app with Face ID or Touch ID, authentication is handled entirely by iOS. We never receive biometric data.
07This website
aimora.day does not use cookies or third-party analytics. When you choose a language, we remember your choice in your browser's local storage; it never leaves your device. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes technical data such as your IP address to deliver pages and protect the site from attacks.
08Why we process data (legal bases)
Where data protection law such as the GDPR applies, we process the information above to provide the app you asked for (performance of a contract), and for our legitimate interests in keeping the service secure and preventing abuse. If you contact us, we use your message to reply.
09Where data goes
Our hosting and AI providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
10Your choices and rights
You can export your progress and delete goals inside the app, and delete everything on your device by removing the app and, if you used iCloud sync, removing Aimora's data in iCloud settings. Because Aimora has no accounts, we usually cannot identify you in our server records. If you believe we hold information about you, or you'd like to exercise rights of access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or portability that apply to you, write to hello@aimora.day and we'll help as far as we're able. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
11Children
Aimora is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 where local law sets a higher age), and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you think a child has sent us personal information, please contact us and we'll remove it.
12Changes to this policy
If we change how Aimora handles information, we'll update this page and the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll also tell you in the app.
